Functionality and versatileness is crucial when every penny counts. I am definitely more enticed to buy something if it has multiple uses. But, I'll go out of my way to get something if it's cute. As of late, I've been obsessing over cute pin cushions. As a fellow sewer, a functioning pin cushion is kind of important (emphasis on important). Pin cushions are usually very plain and ordinary, like the tomato pin cushion or a magnetic dish.

I was on the internet and came across what I thought was the most brilliant, adorable idea. It was a cactus pin cushion. How great is that? A cactus pin cushion that is functional and also a unique decoration to display. With a low budget, I'm always looking for ways I can double the use of items.

After making my cactus pin cushion, soon, I began to think of what else I could make a cute pin cushion. With it being fall, I decided to make pumpkin pin cushions. The pumpkin pin cushions turned out adorable, and, not only are they a great pin cushion, but also, double as lovely (and cheap) fall decor.
