Fall is for Fashionistas

The morning and evening air is beginning to give crisp chill. The green leaves change to vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds. The golden sun sets are beginning to come earlier and earlier. Holidays and festivities are just around the corner. It's fall.

In the fashion world, fall is a time to ring in those lovely jewel tones. It's a time where black shines out best. It's a time when we can turn up the fashion without sweating bullets throughout the heat of summer or being frozen to a crisp in the dead of winter. Fall (and spring) is a fashionistas best friend.

Currently I am working on sewing up a few dresses perfect for the fall season. One is a scarlet lace dress and the other is black lace. Side note, I love lace. There isn't another fabric that states feminine quite like lace. My favorite combination is lace with an exposed metal zipper. I love the drastic contrast of the hard and soft. The scarlet dress didn't turn out quite as I wanted (go figure), so back to the drawing board I go. I'll post photos of the pieces once they are finished.
